De-selecting week view makes the Day view tab disappear

I am trying to disable the week view, it is not useful in the calendar as I have it set up and it actually looks bad (there are multiple events per day, so many that it is unreadable in the week view) I am trying to disable it, but if I do, the tab for the Day view which I need disappears. I have tested this over and over and it keeps happening and I also tested on the demo calendar at dwbooster.com and it happens there as well. Is this a bug or is it supposed to work this way? I want to only show the month view and the day view.
