    Hi there,

I hope this finds you well.

Because of GDPR we need to deactivate all calls to fonts.googleapis.com. Unfortunately Squirrly calls google fonts in a CSS file (snippet.min.css) with @import.

Could you please provide a possibility to switch that off?

I mean I can remove that line, but with every update of the plugin I get the problem back and have to make sure, that I change that file again.

If someone has a possibility to remove that via funktions.php I would be very grateful for that, because unfortunately I didn’t find a solution.

    Cheers,
    Dominik

    Hi Dominik,

After looking more into this GDPR law, it seems that it won’t affect either you or us.

We don’t directly call the Google font using an API, but have it as an actual file that we use. This way, they can’t get any data and send it away, and also, the only data it gets are the IPs, which is a trivial thing to find these days by anybody with an internet connection.

    Hi @dommaster,

We made a new update on the plugin to ensure that no Google Fonts are used.
Please upgrade the plugin to the latest version and you shouldn’t face this problem again.
