Hi @phrvt,
Thanks for reaching out. I’m happy to walk you through deactivating Wordfence, but please let me know if you’re unsure of any of the information and I’ll provide more details on that step.
Since you mentioned that users aren’t able to create listings, I recommend first putting the firewall into Learning Mode temporarily. This will allow Wordfence to see that the actions are normal and allow them in the future. From the Wordfence Dashboard click on Manage Firewall. Then you will see Basic Firewall Options > Web Application Firewall Status. Change the option to Learning Mode. Now perform the actions that were causing issues. After you have finished performing the actions, switch the firewall from Learning Mode back to Enabled and Protecting. Now test to see if these actions work correctly.
If you still want to deactivate Wordfence, if you have access to the WordPress dashboard, you can deactivate the plugin by going to Plugins > Installed Plugins and clicking Deactivate next to Wordfence. If you’re only deactivating Wordfence temporarily, you can select the option Keep all Wordfence tables and data. This will allow you to reactivate it after testing without losing any data.
Thanks,
Margaret
