• So I decided I would try to deactivate all of our plugins from the wordpress dashboard. This has led to the infamous white page of death. I was wondering what to do to get the site back up and running? If I should delete and reinstall the wp core files all except for htaccess, wp-config, and wp-includes? Or if there is a simply myphpadmin command I can run to correct the error inside the database? As far as knowing what the error is I am unaware, but I tried deactivating all of the plugins due to wp’s inability to access trash. I had also installed use-google-libraries as well and the wordpress rss feed plugin. Any help is greatly appreciated as I would like to get the site back to normal. I have also recently chmoded the files in the http folder for wp to 777. I was wondering if there are any files I should avoid doing this to as well?

  • What were you trying to fix in the first place? Deactivating plugins would not cause the white screen of death.

You said here that you were modifying core files. That is the more likely cause of your current problem.

Or if there is a simply myphpadmin command I can run to correct the error inside the database?

How do you know this is a database error?

I have also recently chmoded the files in the http folder for wp to 777.

This will get you hacked. You should never set permissions to 777. See this:
