If I deactivate Yoast, will the SEO / description snippets Yoast generated still be visible to search engines?

    Thanks.

    Hello Stephen,

    Thanks for your question.

When you optimize your website using Yoast SEO, your SEO data is stored in the WordPress database. Also, Googlebot crawls your site and changes such as meta descriptions should be saved in Google’s index too.

However, when you uninstall the plugin and purge the respective database tables, these changes are lost. So the next time Googlebot crawls your site, Google updates their index with whatever is met on your site.

I hope that answers your question.
