• After discovering that I could not upload any of my TTF files to the AnyFont plugin, I decided to temporarily deactivate it until I could figure out why it wasn’t working. Right after I deactivated the plugin, I got a 500 Internal Server Error and can no longer view or edit my site.

I couldn’t remember how to deactivate a file from FTP, so I went in and deleted the folder, to no avail. I then re-uploaded the unzipped folder via FTP and still nothing. I have no idea what happened or how to fix it. Can anyone help?

I do have a database backup from two days ago, but much has been added since then. Is there anything I can do before using the last backup? And how do I implement the backup if all else fails?

    Let me know. Thanks!

  • Sorry about that, I just discovered that bug this past week, and have not had time to fix just yet, although I will try and get a fix released sometime this weekend.

The quick fix though is to edit the .htaccess file inside the main wordpress directory and try see what is causing the error. If you cant make out what the problem is, then just delete the .htaccess file.(note that doing this will disable your permalinks, simply login to the admin panel to re-enable)

Regarding the TTF uploads, Windows does not allow you to upload from the system font folder, you will need to first copy the font to another location such as your desktop, and then upload from there.

    Hope this helps! ??

    quick question on this plugin.

I uploaded a couple of fonts, created style names for the fonts but I don’t understand from the authors instructions how to activate fonts within my post titles. He says something about code snippet but I’m not sure where to insert this code. Is it inserted into php file or the css file? Any help would be appreciated on where the code goes so I can use this Any Font plugin

    To choon:
Thanks for the input! I deleted the .htaccess file and that sort of fixed things. I have a few lingering problems with admin that I don’t know how to fix, so I’m not going to retry the plugin. I am not a coder so I don’t have the time or know-how to fix this or systematically report bugs, but thanks for the tips!
