I think I have a compatibilty issue with Metaslider and the Classic Editor. I want to temporarily deactivate Metaslider. If I deactivate the plug-in do I lose the slideshows I have set up? Will I have to start again when I re-activate the plug-in?

  • Hi,

MetaSlider and Classic Editor should work fine. Can you provide more information about the issue? Did you experience something unusual, and were you able to receive any error messages? If so, please add those messages here.

Deactivating your plugin won’t delete your slideshows. They will be available again after activation.

    Dear Arreane

    Thank you for your response.

The problem became apparent when I updated the Meta Slider plug-in from version 3.20.3. Deactivating or rolling back the plug-in to version 3.20.3 caused the problem to go away.
I have now resolved the issue by updating WordPress to the latest version. I was previously running WordPress 5.6 so you may want to amend your minimum WordPress version requirement.
