    Hello,

I have been using Really Simple Security (free version) on my website for many years, I had initially activated it when I passed from http to https and was interested in the “Mixed content fixer” feature.

I have been having many problems due to 409 conflicts and I am trying to understand which plugin is causing it.

I would like to ask you:

    1) If I deactivate your plugin, could my website break/have errors? Do I have to revert any changes I made with your plugin in order to avoid problems?

    2) Just to know, (and I don’t know if this question makes sense) – does your plugin have an impact on the CRON? Because one problem I have very frequently on my error log is the following and I am trying to understand if a plugin could cause it:
    Cron reschedule event error for hook: action_scheduler_run_queue, Error code: could_not_set, Error message: The cron event list could not be saved., Data: {“schedule”:”every_minute”,”args”:[“WP Cron”],”interval”:60}

    Thank you

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @thewebmonk,

You can de-activate the plugin through the Installed Plugins overview on your website, if necessary. When doing so, you will get the option presented whether you want the site to remain on HTTPS, or revert the plugin’s changes and set the site back to HTTP.

The second item about the cron schedule error, while it doesn’t mention a schedule from this plugin; it basically means that the system is trying to schedule a task action_scheduler_run_queue that runs every minute, but it’s failing to save the event to the database.

You could take a look at the server’s error logs around the time when this issue occurs, which might give you further logs/information and point you to the most-likely culprit. Otherwise, you might want to reach out to your hosting provider and ask them whether there are any applicable WP Cron limitations that might cause this to occur.

    Kind regards, Jarno

    Dear Jarno,

thank you very much for your kind feedback.

Just to know, if I select the “remain on HTTPS” option – I must make sure that my hosting company has the SSL applied on my domainw/website, correct? I believe they do, but I just want to be sure.

    Thank you for the patience

    Hi @thewebmonk,

No problem at all, glad I could help out here.

Indeed, you can select the “Remain on HTTPS” option if you still have a valid SSL certificate installed, so the site will keep using HTTPS. If not, you can use the “Revert to HTTP” option instead.

You can also scan your domain with a tool like Qualys SSL Labs to verify whether you still have a valid SSL certificate installed.

    Kind regards, Jarno
