    Hey,

I really like WP Colorbox plugin but it disables the header jump links so I decided to deactivate it but it deactivates all of the widget shortcodes on homepage for Meta Slider, Google Maps, etc. Any reason why this is happening and how to fix it?

Also if you could give me solution to get jump links working again then it would be awesome too. Deactivating the plugin gets jump links working but it causes other issues.

    Thanks

Hi, WP Colorbox doesn’t run any special script on deactivation. So this is not an issue in the plugin. What do you mean by jump links? The plugin only creates lightbox links from its own shortcodes. So as soon as you deactivate it all those shortcodes will just act as plain text. It can’t affect shortcodes from other plugins because they are not registered by WP Colorbox.

Hey thanks for replying! I really appreciate your quick response.

By jump links I mean..we’re using named anchors within the page and have put named anchor links in the navigation. WP Colorbox just doesn’t navigate and disabling it works like a charm for one-page site. We really need a one-page solution so if there’s a way to make it work then we’ll go ahead with WP Colorbox because it really fulfills our needs.

So as soon as you deactivate it all those shortcodes will just act as plain text. It can’t affect shortcodes from other plugins because they are not registered by WP Colorbox.

Exactly my point but on my site it is doing exactly the opposite! MetaSlider, Read More Plugin and Even Google Maps now show up as just plain text. I am using Genesis Framework and WP 4.7.

I don’t know what the problem is ??

    This is solved.

It was the attempt to use a newer jQuery version that was causing the conflict I guess.

Everything works now. And shortcodes appearing as plain text was fixed by ‘Shortcodes Ultimate’ WP plugin.
