Jetpack uses a namespace that isn’t recognized by popular feed readers like Feedly and so feeds appear dead.

The culprit is com-wordpress according to several RSS validators.

When Jetpack is deactivated, the RSS works perfectly in any reader and has no warnings in RSS validators.

Is there a way to disable RSS in Jetpack and just let regular WP handle it?

    Hi @annabwashere

Thank you so much for patiently waiting for a response! We have a backlog of support requests and work through them on a first-come, first-served basis.

I tested your feed and it displays as valid using the W3 Feed Validator:

    https://validator.w3.org/feed/

A message displays — Use of unknown namespace: com-wordpress:feed-additions:1 but that is only a warning and shouldn’t cause errors.

I haven’t used Feedly before, but I made a test account and tested your RSS feed and one from my test site. My test site works without issue in Feedly, but I noticed that your feed gives the error:

    Unreachable: Feed not found
Wrong feed URL or dead feed

Since this is working for a similar feed, I’d recommend reaching out to Feedly’s support so that they can investigate. You can reach them at:

Let us know what you find out.
