Deadlock Error When Hitting Certain Traffic
-
Hi!
Every once in a while, our site hits heavy traffic and WordPress just shuts down. Pulling the error log on the site results in this:
WordPress database error Deadlock found when trying to get lock; try restarting transaction for query DELETE FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = ‘_transient_timeout_instagram_count’ made by require(‘wp-blog-header.php’), require_once(‘wp-includes/template-loader.php’), include(‘/themes/sahifa/single.php’), get_sidebar, locate_template, load_template, require_once(‘/themes/sahifa/sidebar.php’), dynamic_sidebar, call_user_func_array, WP_Widget->display_callback, counter_widget->widget, tie_instagram_count, get_transient, delete_option
Our host (GoDaddy) says it isn’t their fault. Our theme support says it isn’t their fault. We have no idea what’s going on, but it just started happening
