Dealing with files and attachments – download page?

  • Hi, I would like suggestions as to how best build a “downloads” page that would contain files and attachments that would be organized, with icons, etc… for site visitors to easily browse and download.

    I guess I’m looking for something a bit more robust and flexible than the “insert into post” functionality.

    My company uses a content management product (Oracle Portal) that allows content managers to upload folders and files via webDAV, which facilitates organization and simple mass publishing. I would love this functionality in WP.
