Debian 8.1, PHP 5.6, WordPress 4.3 – Media upload not working

    I have 2 fresh WordPress 4.3 installations, one where uploads are working and one where they are not. Here is the basic set up for both:

    Debian 7.8
    PHP 5.4.41
    WordPress 4.3
    Image uploads work perfectly

    Debian 8.1
    PHP 5.6.9
    WordPress 4.3
    Image uploads are completely broken

    The error I get with the second installation is “The uploaded file was only partially uploaded.” I can upload a tiny image (150 bytes) but nothing larger than 10 KB. Permissions are fine (www-data and 755) and phpinfo tells me that I can upload big files.

    There is another post by giorand who seems to be having the exact same problem.

    Has anyone managed to get a working WordPress installation on Debian 8.1 with PHP 5.6.9?

    Same problem here after today’s update (it was working this update):
    – Ubuntu Server 15.04
    – Php 5.6.4
    – WordPress 4.3 (fresh update today)

    I’m not able to upload files bigger than…5 KB
