Hello,

I am just using the importer for the first time but getting some trouble with it. I could see the json results on browser without issues. But Elementor is generating following error when I use the following shortcode. Kindly advise:

Hi,

“Operation timed out after 5000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received”
is the error-message.
You can add urlgettimeout=100 or so to the shortcode. Then the Plugn tries 100 sec to get the URL. Yet the default 5 sec =5000 milliseconds is used.

When I tried to get https://api.apify.com/v2/actor-tasks/bqRIIPn4uIPWWGB6s/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I gota very fast answer (an error but an answer).
So I guess increasing urlgettimeout does not solve your problem.
The question is:
– is your wordpress-php able to retrieve URLs? Try https://api.json-content-importer.com/extra/json/1.json to check that.
– if this is not successful ask your server-hoster
-it it’S ok but apify.com not: are you banned from that API?

I am still getting the error. I tried https://api.json-content-importer.com/extra/json/1.json and it is working just fine. I am not really sure why I could display results of this api on any browser but not on Elementor

so you know that your server is able to get URLs.

you might try https://www.kux.de/extra/json/jci-step5.json
as well as this is https

what if you switch off elementor and try it in a ordinary page?

I tried https://www.kux.de/extra/json/jci-step5.json and it is working fine as well. I switched to the default editor of wordpress but still it is generating the same exact error. I have no clue what is wrong

well, try just
https://api.apify.com/
any success getting JSON?
If not ask your server-hoster if he has some security-settings?
