Debugging why page access restrictions don't work

  • As the topic title suggests, I’m trying to figure out why the entered groups in the Access Restrictions box for several pages (not all) aren’t working. I’m curious if anyone has any tips as to how to best debug this issue. I’m comfortable with code…

    One page is called “forums” where I’ve inserted the bbpress shortcode for the index. I’m curious if this is because that URL might be related to bbPress. The other pages are pages that are used by BuddyPress, such as members, activity, etc.

    I would assume that the Access Restrictions on each page would work, but its as if they aren’t being applied. The restrictions work fine for posts and topics in my bbpress forums, but I can’t seem to get them to work for these “special” pages.
