This plugin does cloud up your .htaccess and should be monitored. I’ve found duplicate rules in the past. The email backup is priceless, seriously, you should have automated backup for regular safety precautions. There could be much better interfaces for whitelisting and IP blocking. Finding these lists is difficult should they exist.
