Gadgets are now displayed on the main screen since the recent upgrade.
In that gadget, there are the number of failed login attempts and lockdowns since the installation of the plugin, and I think these numbers are cumulative, but for some reason they keep decreasing.
    Why is this?

The ones for the last 24h can/should decrease. But the two “since installed” definitely shouldn’t ?? Do they decrease randomly?

I understand that things from the past 24 hours will decrease over time, and they do.
The numbers since installation have been decreasing a little each day.
The day before yesterday there were 1038 “Failed logins since plugin installed” yes now there are 1029.

I’m looking at the code and really don’t have anything smart to say ?? I mean records from the table can’t vanish. Did you by any chance delete individual locks/logs in the plugin admin?

    Nothing has been done.
A few days ago the gadget started showing up and I thought “how many unauthorized accesses are there?” and then the numbers that were supposed to be total started decreasing and I couldn’t figure out why, so I asked the question.
Is anyone else experiencing this kind of phenomenon?

    We had no similar reports.

Last effort – can you run optimize/repair on your WP tables? We store data in a custom table, so maybe it got fragmented. It’s a 2% chance but …

Does table optimization with “WP-Optimize” make sense?
Either way, I think it is an “improvement that will not decrease in the future”, so we will have to monitor the progress.

By the way, can I hide this gadget?
I would like to hide it, as there is no point in displaying it if it doesn’t improve the situation.

WP Optimize is the easiest way to do it ??

Sure. Screen Options in the upper right corner and just remove the checkbox next to it.

    It decreased again to 1027.
It seems that there was no effect.

I don’t understand the check box in the right corner.
Is it in the settings screen?

Not sure which checkbox you are referring to, can you send us a screenshot?

Every WP admin page, including the Dashboard has “Screen Options” in the upper right corner. Click it and you’ll be able to remove our widget.

Today it is down to 1025.
This seems to be a specification to delete the number of target items by date.

I understand about hiding the gadget.
I thought it was a WP screen option, and was checking the settings screen thinking it was that of a plugin.
