Deduplication not happening in first load

  • When i clear browser cookie and load the page for the first time, the events sent through browser and server are not deduplicated automatically by facebook. Then when i refresh again, deduplication starts to work. it only happens on the first load.

    Do you see the event ID when the page is loaded for the first time? It the events are ours, both the browser and API event will have the same event ID.

    Yes. The event ids are same. No other plugins are being used. Even though event id is same for both browser and server event, they are not deduplicated first time. You can check this yourself.

    clear the cookie and reload the page for the first time and see the test pageview events. Same event id but no deduplication. I have tried multiple sites even with just pixelyoursite installed.

    1. I don’t know your site, so I can check anything.
    2. Event if you provide the URL, I still can’t test the API events.

    However, if both the tag and API events have the same event ID, deduplication should work. If not, it’s some sort of Meta bug, probably just a test issue.

    Its your plugin sir. You dont need my site to test anything. Like i said, I tested in multiple sites and it occurs in all of them. So pretty much it will happen to you too. Either its a meta bug, or a bug of the pixelyoursite plugin too. Only you can confirm it if you feel you should.
