• Long post.

    My WordPress installation is all kinds of FU$%@^$! further reading will denote;
    Repair is a must, then we upgrade.

    [Server]
    Custombuilt. 2x xeons, 64gb ddr3ecc, 20tb storage redundant across the servers 12 hdd’s, Hyper-V virtual Ubuntu server 16LTS esm3 (< pending upgrade)
    L.A.M.P
    WP.

    [_problem1]
    Cannot post download files larger than xxx amount. I say xxx, because it varies. Sometimes creating a download stub in WPDMpro then adding an 80MB file to it (website download), it will work, uploading at a pathetic 6-20mb/s even though I’m on the same network as the server.
    Files around 10mb will upload in a second or two. Things slow down from around 60Mb files onwards.
    In comes the heavyweight, the 2GB archive. Often it will start uploading fast but stall after 170-220Mb.

    Devtools shows the following culprits in use;
    *admin-ajax.php | xhr | moxie.min.js?ver1.3.5:1
    *admin-ajax.php | xhr | jquery.min.js?ver=3.6.0:2
    and on, and on and on – without ever uploading the file, or dying as described above.
    each log entry sends <900b (see image for clarification)
