    Dear Support,

I’m using forminator as a user registration form.
It sends out a customizable email to the user and the admin. And this is absolutely perfect for what I’m looking for.
However the default plain email is still sent to the new user.
The so called “new user registration email” with the subject: “[website name] Account Activated”
Is there any way I can turn that one off?

So to clarify when I create a new user with the registration, 3 emails are being sent out.

    1. Custom email to new user
    2. Custom email to admin
    3. Default email to the new user

I’m wanting to disable the default email to the user, as it may be confusing to the user when they receive 2 emails instead of only the customized one with the correct format and information.

I’m using the latest wordpress WP 6.02

I’ve done some searching and found that several plugins and scripts that disable this default email no longer work. I’ve tested them and indeed they do not work.

I think perhaps WordPress changed something and that may be affecting this functionality.

I’m hoping to find the solution here, because I assumed that it would only make sense for your plugin to disable the default WordPress email to prevent confusion.

    Please advise

    Regards,

    Mosche

  • Hello @mosche !

Hope you’re having a good week!

Forminator comes with an option to deactivate the default email from WordPres. Please check on your form’s edit page in the User Registration tab – User Account Activation section.

In case you already have the options set correctly and WordPress is still sending the email, it’s possible that some plugin is overriding that. I’ve seen it in one case for a membership plugin and once for a WooCommerce add-on. If you have those active – can you run a test with those deactivated and see if the issue still occurs? It can be done on a temp/dev site as well if the issue can be reproduced there.

    Kind regards,
    Pawel

    Dear Pawel,

    Thank you for your response.
I’ve followed the instructions and can confirm.
    It Worked!
The third mail is deactivated and now I have granular control over which email the customers receive.

    Thank You!

    Hi @mosche

I’m glad that this is resolved.

If you have a moment, I would very much appreciate it if you could quickly rate our plugin. This will help us keep the plugin available for free.
