  • Hi please read the following instructions when using the placeholder? This is what it says….

Check this setting if you want the default text to be a placeholder inside the form field. The placeholder is a short hint that is displayed in the input field before the user enters a value. Works with the following input types only: name, email, subject, message, text, textarea, url, and password. This setting is sometimes used along with the “Hide label” setting.

Hi mbrsolution, like I said, I successfully managed to use the ‘Default as placeholder’ option for Name and Email text fields but it doesn’t work for Select fields (combo box). The first entry is showing as placeholder instead of the default text…

    Any idea? <:)

Hi, yes I know it does not work. Please read the message I posted above.

Works with the following input types only: name, email, subject, message, text, textarea, url, and password.

The field you are trying to add ‘Default as placeholder’ to, will not work as mentioned in the above message.

    Thank you

Ok, so I’m using the Subject field, so it should work, but since I made it a Select field instead of a Text field, it doesn’t work.

So the ‘Default as placeholder’ option works for all type fields excepted Select field. Sorry I didn’t get it right at first, thanks for your patience!

Is there any workaround for this?

@mark_cox unfortunately there is no work around for this unless you hack the code yourself.

    Regards
