    Hi Futtta,
very good plugin, I’m testing it and give great results.
I have a little problem: how to change the default cache folder?
It puts the compressed file under “www.mysite.com/wp-content/cache” but I would like to change it in something like “www.mysite,com/mycache/” outside wp-content, is it possible? and, in case, how?
    Thanks in advance

This is not possible I’m afraid MacItaly.

Hi Futtta and thanks to answer.
It’s a very pity as, for security reasons, I need to hide the WP references in generated code and Autoptimize put, at the end of the code, the complete path to the cache folder, like “www.mysite.com/subfolder/wp-content/cache/autoptimizeminifiedfile.css” and I’m not able to hide, in any manner, the part “subfolder/wp-content/” that reveals the subfolder path and WP identity.
Autoptimize does a great job but, in this case, I fear that have to renounce to use it, if I don’t find a solution for this.
Last attempt: not even hardcoding the plugin and creating “by hand” the cache folder in WP directory?
Thanks for your support and plugin.
    Best regards,

well … I’m sure this can be tackled somehow, but autoptimize relies on a number of wordpress named constants and functions (e.g. content_url() and WP_CONTENT_DIR), so it would probably take considerable rework to strip out references to the content dir.

you could however create a small plugin that rewrites /wp-content/cache/autoptimize/autoptimize_xyz.css to /what/ever/else_xyz.css and then use apache’s mod_rewrite to have apache do the reverse matching?

Thanks for you support Futtta but I cannot create a plugin.
In any case, please consider this option for a next version of Autoptimize, crackers increase day by day and to hide WP becoming a requirement for security.
Thanks again for all your time.
    Kind Regards,

    Mac
