• Hi, thanks so much for this plugin. really great work.

I’ve been running into an issue on a couple of different sites where the CPT-onomy is checked in the sidebar select without being selected by the user.

For example, the locations CTP-onomy is attached to posts, but when the user goes to edit the post, all THREE checkboxes are checked by default even though only 1 location was selected initially and only 1 location shows up in the admin column view for posts.

I’m having the same problem. To provide more information on this same issue in my particular case

    • CPT-onomy is default-checking 8 out of about 100 from the list.
    • This also goes for when creating a new post.
    • Those same 8 things keep getting checked every time you load the post editor.
    • Uncheck the ones you don’t need, then check only what you do need, and then publish/update – this of course will reload the editor, but still check those same 8. But if you look at the database, you’ll see that the taxonomy set into the post are the correct ones. Still, pretty annoying.

The plugin author and a bunch of other people look to have been able to fix this problem, and the solution is available now in their github repo.

What fixed it for me is replacing the /wp-content/plugins/cpt-onomies/admin.php file’s content with the latest one from here.

This bugfix conversation thread seems to explain the problem and the solution quite well.

Hope this helps others find the solution a bit easier.
