Default editor preference not recognized

Hello,

First time posting here. I have the Classic Editor plugin, and for a while I used that as my default editor. I finally became comfortable with the Block Editor and decided to switch to using that one primarily. I have changed in my Writing Settings that my default editor should be Block rather than Classic, but when I try to write a new post, it still comes up in the Classic editor. I would still like to keep the option of using the Classic editor, so I don’t want to disable the plugin. What should I do to fix this?
