default email subject is a random string

    if you don’t set an email subject, the default subject is a long random string (e.g. =?UTF-8?B?TmV3IHN1YnNjcmlwdGlvbiBvcHRpb24gLSBz ……)

    …and even if you do set the mail subject, it’s still a random string

    This has to do with wp_mail somehow with wp 5.5 it handles the codes string for the subject wrong. In the next update mail is used which workes fine. This is allready tested by me.

    dunno if you wanted me to close this issue or if you’re using it to track, so i’ll leave it open for you to close

    I’m having this issue as well, can you clarify on “the next update”? I don’t see a new plugin version or wordpress version so I’m not sure which update I’m missing.
