I installed ‘Limit Login Attempts Reloaded’ and is is working, although when I did a test login with incorrect password the default login error printed out:

“ERROR: The password you entered for the username admin is incorrect. Lost your password?”

My understanding is that after installing LLAR the failed login message should change to something like this:

    “ERROR: Incorrect username and/or password.”
“ERROR: Too many login attempts. Please try again in 20 minutes.”

    Please advise.

    thanks.

I installed ‘Limit Login Attempts Reloaded’ on a dozen WordPress sites, a few of them display the following, the rest don’t, all have similar theme and plugins, what is the problem?

    “ERROR: Incorrect username and/or password.”
“ERROR: Too many login attempts. Please try again in 20 minutes.”

I took a couple of screen shots of the login errors screens, half the site I installed LLAR on the screen are still the default WordPress login error screen.

    Default WordPress login error screen:

Limit Login Attempts Reloaded login error screen:

I have trie purging the WP Super Cache and browser cache to no avail, hopefully there is a fix.

Thanks in advance for a solution.

Ok, I figured it out, I had my IP address in the Whitelist box, geez, which disabled the LLAR login screen. Ok, onward and upward…
