Default Form Value initially loads, then does not work

    Hi, This one product page is my test page to see if the ‘Variation Swatches for WooCommerce’ plugin will work for us.

    I set the default form value, that is the default product variation that will initially display as selected. It initially loads, then the selection is no longer displayed.

    When the page is loading, I can see the attribute selections – they are surrounded with a bold border and the color attribute has both the check mark and the bold border. The price and SKU are displayed.

    Once the page fully loads, that selection disappears; there is no price and SKU shown.

    How do I troubleshoot this? I tried google chrome inspector > network, but I am not sure what to look for. Any clues would be appreciated!

    Hi,

    Thanks for reaching out to us. Please temporarily deactivate our Swatches plugin and check whether you get the same behavior or not.

    If it works with the default dropdown it should work with our Swatches plugin as well.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the super fast response. I deactivated the Swatches plugin and got the same behavior. That is, the default product was displayed only at the very beginning of the page load. Once loaded, the default was not selected. So, this is not a plugin problem. Something has gone wrong with woocommerce and perhaps the customizations the past developer had in place.

    I have the same problem. I updated Woo & Variation Swatches and…doesnt work.

    When you load the web and product, variations upload but, it’s not possible to touch / fix it. Only stay in one size, for example L.

    Can you say me if has any problem?

    Answering my own question, I changed to the Twenty Twenty-Three theme and then the default behavior works. So, the conflict is with our theme.
