Default Gallery Template Error

    Suddenly, without making any changes on my part, all of the galleries I had placed into posts using this shortcode:

    [ngg_images gallery_ids="5" display_type="photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails"]

    Now appear with this error:

    This is the default gallery type template, located in:
    /home/joafer21/douroprofundo.com/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_gallery_display/templates/index.php.

    If you’re seeing this, it’s because the gallery type you selected has not provided a template of it’s own.

    They were working just fine yesterday, now they’re all showing this error, no matter which Gallery it is linking too.

  • Hi from France.
    The “Default Gallery Type Template” issue is now fully cached by Google. Many websites are impacted… as mine.
    I have two websites with WordPress 4.0.1 and NextGen Gallery 2.0.66.33. Unfortunately, I still have the quotes issue. If I remove all the quotes in the shortcode, the gallery is correctly displayed.
    I do not wish to spend hours to remove quotes in hundreds of shortcodes…
    @edanzer Are you aware that the issue is still there with the latest version of NGG ? Has the 2.0.66.33 version stopped to fix what the 2.0.66.31 version was supposed to fix ?

    I have the same problem also with Nextgen 2.0.66.37 and WordPress 4.0.1.
