"DEFAULT GALLERY TYPE TEMPLATE" Error, please help !!!!

    I had suddenly a bug in december on my blog with Nextgen 2.0.66.37 and WordPress 4.1 (looks like an automatic update because I didn’t ask for this). I use also WPML.

    I use this short code for example :

    [ngg_images image_ids=”208″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_singlepic”]

    It is published with the plugin for Lightroom from alloyphoto (it worked well for 2 years).
    And I obtain now this message on my blog :

    DEFAULT GALLERY TYPE TEMPLATE
    This is the default gallery type template, located in:
    /home/stephanen/www/site/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_gallery_display/templates/index.php.

    If you’re seeing this, it’s because the gallery type you selected has not provided a template of it’s own.

    I can correct the bug if I delete the quotes like this :
    [ngg_images image_ids=208 display_type=photocrati-nextgen_basic_singlepic]

    But I have hundreds of articles, it is not the official shortcode and I am looking for a secure and long run solution.

    @samlawry – We have found this is a French language issue. Currently your idea of removing the quotes is most likely going to be your best work-around.

    This is a terrible problem for me :

    -1/ I have hundreds of articles to correct, I don’t understand I have to do this now, it just worked well before

    -2/ Removing the quotes doesn’t respect your API and I don’t want to have a bigger problem later.

    So, you don’t expect to correct this bug ?
    If I google “nextgen default gallery type template”, I obtain 58.000 results …..

    If I google “DEFAULT GALLERY TYPE TEMPLATE”, I obtain 2.010.000 results.

    Looks like there is a big problem isn’t it ?

    @samlawry – Removing the quotes is not going against our API(?!).

    The use of quotes, single or double, is only really required if you have multiple values you are passing to a parameter or if that parameter accepts values that contain spaces.

    As to your Google results, I would strongly suspect your search criteria was actually not specific enough as that message can be generated under several different circumstances.

    Ok, so I will take time to delete the quotes and don’t use it anymore. I hope I will not have problems in the future because I will don’t have hundreds but maybe thousands pictures.

    @samlawry – We do apologize for the inconvenience but it is safe to remove the quotes based on the “correct” example you used in the OP.
