• For all those having this problem with the Kubrick “Default” theme in WordPress, with that 1px footer or header shift. I have the downloadable files to fix it all.

    In this download, you will have the following issues fixed.

    1) The search button will be up beside the search input field in both IE and FF.

    2) The 1px footer/header issue will be fixed for in both IE and FF.

    3) You will have everything in the sidebar, listed on all the pages, instead of just the index page.

    4) You will also have the same imagery as I do on here now. =)

    Demo Site here:

    Download the RAR Archive here:

    I hope this helps.. I originally had this at my test101 blog, but I’m currently using it for the Andreas08 theme, revamped by Kate.. which is being used on Andreas’s site.

    Please let me know how it works for you, if you try it. Thanks..

    Even added two other images, within the end of the post for “Posted in” and “no comment” part of it..

    Works as far as I know, for versions.. 1.5.2, 2.0 and 2.0.1… =)

    Ok, make a copy of header.php and CSS file quick..upload my fixed CSS file, header.php file and footer.php file over what’s in there.

    Then, just for the sidebar.php file…

    Find this:

    <?php /* If this is the frontpage */ if ( is_home() || is_page() ) { ?>

    And this one near end of it:
    <?php } ?>

    And remove them both, this will give your links on all the pages.

    P.S. If you don’t really need the images and stuff, don’t worry about them. =P Even those little ones added under the posts.

    Cool cool cool!

    I had to fiddle with stuff for a bit. I uploaded new files and everything was fine. I updated bits of code to get things back to I had them –and the 1 px. problem returned!

    However I went back, piece by piece and using process of elimination I realized it was caused by a line in my header file. There were extra spaces or something when I went to put a “randomizer” code in there. I removed them and things look great now! (FF and IE)

    Little by little I’m learning…Thanks for all your help.

    No problem. =) But yeah, it does kinda throw ya off a little, especially when you have extra codes for plugins and what not added to it.

    The files I have the fixes for were just for a “clean and unmolested” Default 1.5. Meaning nothing extra was added to it plugin wise or whatever lol. =)

    But if want to brave it sometime, you can gander at how my header and footer image was made, and modify your’s accordingly, same goes for the rest of the files. So you have them little image fellows under your post’s. And have the sidebar on all pages.. It’s all up to you though lol.

    Either way, glad to hear ya got that shift fixed. ??

    could you explain what you actually changed?

    Thank you, thank you, thank you! That 1px was making me insane! I had already modified the header so I used your code to fix the header.php file rather than overwriting the entire file. I hadn’t modified any of the other files so those fixes worked perfectly.

    Thanks again!

    Hi,
    I’m experiencing the 1px glitch in the footer with Firefox (looks ok in IE). I’ve heavily modified the site – I wonder if you could post the required code changes just to fix the 1px footer problem only (I’m not worried about the other bits)?

    EDITED* Well, after looking through that thread I posted here, it seems a bit confusing. When I get some time, I’ll post the fixes in here. =)

    kknight, no problem. Glad you got it fixed. =)

    mrball and Speedie, sorry for the wait, I’m just very limited to internet time sigh. =( If you’d like, check out this original thread that started this whole thing, me and Octa had spent that whole day finding and posting the fixes, and it’s located here:

    All the “fixes” are there, and what’s changed. I hope this helps.. =)

    piejin, it appears to be a missing </div> maybe, plus these 61 Errors don’t help much either. =( Try fixing those errors once, just click on the line “numbers” that are like a link, and it will take you right to the locations of the errors that need fixed within your files.

    I’d start by checking through the index.php file, sidebar.php file, footer.php file and maybe even header.php file. Compare codes from a “fresh” copy of the default theme files. Cause it does appear to be a missing </div> some where.

    Good luck with it. I’m sorry I can’t be around much to help though, I’m limited to internet time. Maybe someone else can help ya more though.. =)
