default media gallery in 3.5.1 twenty twelve won't display images in order

  • Hi, I’m new, but have searched extensively, but apologies if I haven’t searched enough.
    I have installed wordpress, updated to 3.5.1, but when I create a post and add a media gallery, no matter what I do, once published it won’t display in the order I have set it. There is no random order set, and I can’t see any other options. But it does seem to consistantly display the first image as the last image, but not the last image as the first, the order is a little random, but consistently random.

  • So,you’re sayin’ that Drag and drop to reorder images in Edit gallery doesn’t work?

    It won’t fix your problem but you could try manually set the order in the gallery shortcode (switch from Visual to text view)

    Thank you, I ended up installing jetpack and used it’s image plugins, so have a work around. I did a little research and gather this may be a bug that is being addressed in the next release. Thank you for your help, I will definitely try the shortcode option as well.
