• Hi there,

I’m using 2 plugins, Pmpro and Bookly, all is almost perfectly fine, except I would like the user created by Bookly in frontend, which creates a WP user, by default will be assigned to Free membership level, instead they are assigned with no level.

I use a workaround and ask the new users to go to the free membership checkout and select their free level to access their member page, but can I just assign them by default free level, so then they just need to login to their member account?

Please help, I’m sure it’s not hard, I have trying all the settings, but not to avail…

    Thank you!

Yes see this code recipe: https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/2015/03/give-users-a-default-membership-level-at-registration/

If you’d like continued support resolving this issue for your unique setup, please sign up for PMPro Membership and open a topic on our members forum: https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/forums/forum/members-forum/

So your plugin does NOT integrate with WordPress registration, and you force them to sign up for your site, at the very minimum, or CHARGE people for support? I shouldn’t be forced to exchange money or even my email address to see basic instructions on the internet. Wow. I’ll be sure to speak favorably about the PM-PRO “free plugin support”. Not.

No idea what you’re saying about the “plugin does not integrate with WordPress registration” – PMPro piggybacks on the standard WP user system. It does not need to “integrate” because it creates standard WP users who are assigned the basic “Subscriber” role on sign-up. That is “WordPress registration.”

Also the PMPro plugin is completely open-source and offered for FREE. You do NOT have to “exchange money or even [your] email address” for anything. You just need to learn how to read, per my response to your other post where you also b!tched that you need to pay for info, which you don’t.

Instead of ranting, if you have a question, you could ask it in a civil tone – and possibly be grateful that developers like the people who built this plugin distribute their work widely, under the open-source model, at no charge whatsoever, to allow you to make money from your site. Is there a reason you’re so mad about that?
