Default menu changes order to alphabetic

    Dear users,

    I have installed Polylang in my existing Dutch site, in order to create an English version. After activating Polylang and installing Dutch and English languages the menu changes the order of menu-items to alphabetical order. This is annoying, as the home-page (welcome) is at the end of the menu now.
    After de-activating the plugin, the menu shows correct again.

    I use the theme Travelify, WP 4.4.

    Is there a way I can prevent this from happening?
    I have posted this question earlier, unfortunately I got no reply at all. Please advise.

    menu changes the order of menu-items to alphabetical order.

    Polylang doesn’t change the order. Maybe a rule provides by your theme. You should ask them.
    However in your admin side, you can easily drag the metaboxes in your menus.

    Thank you for your reply,

    I have posted a similar question on the support-forum of the theme.
    I know how to drag and drop the menu-items, but the order of the menu-items keeps on showing in alpabetical order. Everything was working fine until activating Polylang. De-activating Polylang gave me my original menu back. I would not be surprised if it is something in Polylang, given the other threads about changed menus in this forum.

    I tested Travelify version 3.0.2 with Polylang 1.7.12 on WP 4.4.1 and I didn’t reproduce your issue.

    Did you try with:
    * only your theme + Polylang with the other plugins deactivated?
    * only your theme + Polylang + WP 4.4.1 with the other plugins deactivated?

    Dear Chrystl,

    I have tested Polylang with another theme on another site. Seems I have been impatient. The first time you look at the site after installing Polylang the menu shows incorrect. When you go to the menu-configuration in WP everything shows correct. Leaving the menu-configuration and going back to the site it shows correct. Beats me, but I have got it running now.
