Which payment gateway are you using?

When you go to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Payment Gateway of your choice, is the option to Issue an authorization on checkout, and capture later enabled?

Furthermore, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the necessary information below for us to investigate the issue further:

System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.
Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs. Then you can use the selector to search for Fatal Errors.

Thanks for your reply. The only thing that I see under “payment action” is capture. The other option is authorize. Should I change it to authorize?

When you select “capture”, your payment gateway should process the charge and update the order status to “processing”. Can you tell us which plugin and payment gateway you are currently using?

Can you explain more about what you need? I’m using woocommerce and Paypal, I’m not sure what other information is necessary?
