default permalinks changed after migration to new host

  • Hello.

    I use the default permalink structure for my blog…

    blog/?p=1080

    is my latest entry…

    I recently moved over the a new web host and it seems that the numbering of my posts has changed in the process.

    For example blog/?p=736 is now blog/?p=831

    This is causing me problems as people have linked to my posts from external sites and now will end up at an entirely different post.

    Is there any simple way to change it back to the original numbering?
