    Hi,
I’d like all my users profiles, names and details to only appear for logged in users, and looks like the only way I can do this is to have each user updating their profile and set their profile as private. Is there any way we could default this field as private when a user registers?
then I could prevent my users from accessing this button via the user access and would;t have to worry of having my users profiles being public…
    thanks!

    Hi @gdemonta,

You can do it by setting your User page access settings to “Logged in Users”.
Please go to your User page and check “Restrict access to this content” and “Who can access this content? – Logged in users”

    Regards.

Thanks Support! unfortunately it didn’t work, when I do this, I can still access the profile even when logged out by using the direct link to the profile domainname.com/index.php/user/4
if I toggle the profile to private, then I cannot access it.
I was thinking I could sircumvent that by toggling all the profile’s field privacy on “members” in the default profile form, but those fields still appear for logged out users.
    thank s for your help

    Hi @gdemonta,

I’m afraid it’s due to some kind of issue on your side.
Firstly, please make sure that you have set your permalinks to the postname in WordPress dashboard ->Settings -> Permalinks.
Secondly, you need to remove index.php from your URL. This can be done by editing your .htaccess file Using “Pretty” permalinks if you are not sure how to do it I suggest contacting your hosting provider for assistance.

    Regards.
