Default Shipping Method

    I’m looking for a way to set the default shipping method however I have had no luck so far.

    Currently I have the Premium Shipping enabled with UK Collect, UK Standard Flat Rate and UK Express Flat Rate. It defaults to UK collect however I want it to default to UK standard Flat Rate.

    Any assistance on this issue would be appreciated.

    Hi DanceYrselfClean_Admin,

    I’m not familiar with the Premium Shipping you are referencing. Is that a third-party plugin?

    If so – I’d recommend checking on their support forums or contacting that developer directly to resolve the issues you are having.

    Thanks it appears that premium shipping plugin is a third party plugin. I am currently developing a site for a client but it was built by a previous web designer so I’m not entirely sure on the setup.

    I have contacted their support team to try and resolve the issue.

    Their support team got back to me with the following reply:

    “The default option is controlled by WP e-Commerce itself, and it will always pick the cheapest rate as a default. If you want to change that you’re probably looking at modifying WP e-Commerce”

    I don’t suppose it’s possible to change this behavior and prevent it from always picking the cheapest option is it?
