Default uploads direcory permissions

  • Hi,

    I’ve set the SETGID on the uploads directory (drwxr-s— 8 user group 4096 Mar 12 18:40 uploads) and the permalinks are set to “https://example.com/index.php/2012/08/09/sample-post/”.

    The problem is that WordPress omits the SETGID permission when it creates the new directory for months.

    Is there any way to change the default permissions for new directories in WordPress?
