Default value from a php function

Hello to all,
I have a php function called the_code in my function.php that returns a number.
I need that this number is a default value in a CF7 field, how can I do?
I found this topic and this reference https://contactform7.com/getting-default-values-from-shortcode-attributes/ but I think I’m missing something.
