Default value not working

I’m using Jazzy Forms on a client’s site as a savings calculator.
My client wants a default value in each field, but when I enter a default value in Value > Default, it doesn’t show up.
The value writes to the database in the jzzf_element table in the “default” column, but it does not show up on the site. When I view source it just says value=””.
Can anyone point me in a direction to start trying to figure this bug out? Is there a place where I can hard code the value into the form or ????
