Default WordPress theme accidentally deleted. What to do?

    I deleted the default WP theme accidentally, while cleaning up my site.
    I have been building a website and have put in considerable amount of time. Wouldn’t like to dump it and reinstall WordPress to get the default theme back. Is there another solution? What danger am I in for having deleted it. In “housekeeping” doc it says “you should never delete the default WordPress theme. And the word never is bold face.
