Defaults to Install.php Periodically

  • Hello,

    I have a wordpress installation and every so often (often whilst I’m logged into the dashboard and making tweaks) it suddenly decides it’s just going to default to install.php instead.

    Does anyone know how to fix this? Deleting install.php doesn’t fix the problem you just get an error instead of install.php

  • Hi Mark,

    This often points to an issue with the hosting, like perhaps the database connection is dropping and WordPress thinks it needs to be reinstalled. It would be a good idea to check with your host to see if they can find any issues with that.
