Defender keeps deactivating

HEllo! I love your plugin but defender keeps deactivating. Per a previous ticket you said the reason is this plugin requires php 7.4 or higher. I’ve checked this and the website is running at php 8 and it is still happening.
Can you think of anything else that could cause this issue?
