    You can either load the default tracking code in the footer, or use the asynchronous tracking code.

    Both loading methods are the same as loading it deferred. ??

    Oh for using the default with footer options I added a preconnect to the header:

    <link rel="preconnect" href="https://www.google-analytics.com" />
