deindexing – how long does it take?

First thanks sLa I used missed schedule plugin and its great. Looking forward to more of your plugins.

Re de-indexing: I have website that performed well – and bit too well, so google put me in sandbox. i stuffed bit too any keywords ?? traffic down to 10%. will this plugin help me de-index pages? so after it i can start building my rank again?
how long will take for de-indexing to work?

and when i consider it done, i remove plugin (do i need to?) and start with a few articles to attract attention – and my rank should slowly start to grow again. do i getting this right?
sorry for maybe bit noob questions.
