    Dear Woocommerce Team
    I’ve installed Woocommerce PayPal Checkout because the Paypal Payments plugin forced me somehow to do so on the plugin site.

    Anyhow, I would not like to use PayPal Checkout as PayPal Payments is doing exactly what I need. Therefore I’ve uninstalled the Plugin again (deactivate – uninstall).

    My Admin portal is telling me “PayPal Checkout is almost ready. To get started, connect your account.”, since.

    Also the admin page “wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings&tab=checkout&section=ppcp-gateway” ist still working. Seems like your uninstall procedure does not really work.

    Could you please tell me how to uninstall completely?

    @bahijach,

    Could you confirm that you have deactivated the WooCommerce PayPal Checkout payment gateway plugin from the plugins page? You can do this from Dashboard>Plugins

    If you have deactivated the plugin and you still see an option to configure Paypal checkout plugin in the admin dashboard, Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Please feel free to hide any private information from the status report.

    many thanks for your reply. Yes I’ve deactivated it and then deleted it. It does not appear on the plugin list, and also the plugin files are removed from the server.

    Ideally, you shouldn’t be seeing the message

    “PayPal Checkout is almost ready. To get started, connect your account.”.

    Do you still have any payments(renewals/pending) processing via Paypal checkout?

    Here is our upgrade guide from Paypal checkouts to Paypal payments. Could you check if you have followed the guidelines before deleting the plugin?

    You can verify you are connected to PayPal by navigating to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > PayPal(not PayPal Standard) and verify you have connected to Paypal?

    This is the screen that I’m referring to.

    If it’s not connected, could you ensure that is connected to PayPal. That should fix this issue.

    Many thanks for your support. I finally managed to set it up.
    I basically removed all the PayPal Plugins, as PayPal Standard is shipped with woocommerce automatically.

    Then I just activated PayPal Standard in the payment settings and everything seems to work fine again.
