Dejavu Theme and The Events Calendar
-
Hi,
I am going to try to explain my problem the best I can….hopefully it makes sense and hoping someone can guide me in the right direction.I am using the dejavu premium theme from mysitemyway.com and using The Events calendar from Modern Tribe. Love both the theme and the plugin. Also, I have tried both the plugin author and theme developer but neither can figure this out.
When viewing individual events on my site, the formatting does not look as it should. Around the event details there should be a grey box and the google map should be a nice square map such as this screenshot. However, with my theme the grey box is missing and the google map is twice as long as wide. Here is an example of and event on my site with the dejavu theme.
I used this plugin with other themes and they worked fine so I am thinking it is theme related but the theme developer can’t figure it out either. I switch to an unmodified twenty thirteen theme and it looks as it should. When I have it switched to the twenty thirteen theme I viewed the page with Chrome inspector. Specifically the <div> holding the event details shows the following classes and styles
.single-tribe_events .tribe-events-event-meta { background: #fafafa; border: 1px solid #eee; margin: 30px 0;}
However, when using the dejavu theme and using Chrome inspector for the same <div> I see the following classes .single-tribe_events .tribe-events-event-meta .tribe-clearfix but no background, border or margin properties show up in the inspector like it does with the 2013 theme.
I am stumped as to why the dejavu theme shows the same classes but does not include the properties in Chrome inspector (which are the properties for the grey box) or appear that the properties from the classes are being used.
Again, the theme developer and plugin author have been great at trying to help but both have ran out of ideas. Does anyone have any ideas or starting points?
I appreciate any help anyone can give and hopefully what I said above makes sense!
Thank You
