    Hi,

I’ve tested the plugin with live credentials several time on our website and noticed that there is a delay after completing the transaction on Klarna and our website then redirecting to the order success page.

What we’re seeing is that as soon as the Klarna popup disappears, it is taking around 5 seconds before the site does anything.

During these 5 seconds, there is not even a spinning icon or message saying something like ‘processing / redirecting’ so it can easily look like nothing is happening at all and the customer could just click the back button.

Is this something you can review and is there some type of holding message / spinner that can be shown between these steps to inform the customer that something is actually happening?

    Hello @mthelp,

The popup does inform the customer that they will be redirected after the countdown reaches zero, not within five seconds. The actual redirection, after the countdown finishes, is delayed most likely because of server resources. If you check our demo store, the redirection is much quicker than that.

    Hi,

Sorry but what popup that gives you a countdown? – we don’t see this at all.

    What happens is:

    Woocommerce -> Click Place Order
Klarna Popup -> Complete details and then confirm order

-> popup immediately disappears and returned back to the checkout page of woocommerce with no countdown at all or even a ‘waiting for…’ status message in the corner.

-> Up to 5 Seconds later the site redirects to the checkout success page.

The issue seems to be that this countdown popup isn’t actually a thing that we can see?

The popup should appear when the customer is about to be redirected to the confirmation page, showing a countdown. You can see this in our demo store. Please try to place a purchase there by using Klarna’s test data.

@montazaraj – well it definitely doesn’t on our instance.

I tried logging in to your demo site but it’s all in Swedish and as soon as I get to the Klarna popup it asks for me a national identification number – I put in digits matching the format but it keeps telling me it was invalid.

I then changed the currency to GBP and my country / region to United Kingdom – this also generated the Klarna options but when clicking the Klarna button I get ‘Internal Server Error’ on your site.

Can you please provide instructions for how I should checkout, and have you tested what happens with your plugin in the UK region to ensure it is functioning as you are describing?

Sorry, missed the part about using the test data.

Ok, so I just checked out based on Sweden and your test data and it did indeed offer a countdown. It’s as if there is a 2nd popup after the first and then it redirects.

But we definitely don’t get this on our site and have tested both mobile and desktop.

Is it possible that this doesn’t happen for UK checkouts?

    Hi,
I need a solution to this problem as well.
The process behaves the same on our site:
After the klarna popup, the user is back on the checkout page for about 5 seconds, until being redirected to the thank you page.
No countdown appears, no indication of loading except for a spinner on the order summary section.
But this is easily overlooked and, depending on screen size, not even visible when you have scrolled down to the “buy now” button.

During this time, the user is very likely to click on “buy now” again, which results in a duplicate order in woocommerce, which goes to pending payment and eventually is cancelled, triggering an “order cancelled” E-mail to the customer.
This is bad for two reasons:
    1. It clutters our orders with cancelled duplicates
    2. We had to deactivate our E-mail notification about cancelled orders for customers, as this results in confusion, bad user experience and the customers actually ordering again although their first order went through.

I also don’t see any countdown in your demo store when using klarna pay later. The only indicator is the spinner on the summary as described above.

Please provide a fix for this!
The “Buy now” button should not be clickable after the klarna popup dissapears and there should be a clear indication that the user is about to be redirected.
If there is no fix, we might be forced to ditch klarna alltogether.

Please get in touch with Klarna Merchant Support regarding the missing countdown modal since the modal is within the <iframe> from Klarna. They should be able to assist you with this.

@dlf123 Regarding the issue with accidental orders, in an upcoming release, we’re going to put a lock to prevent the customer from clicking on the “Buy now” button while they’re about to be redirected.
