• Using PageSpeed as a reference, when I have the Site Kit by Google plugin disabled my mobile speed is 94 on average, but when activating the plugin the speed drops to 54.

I would like to know how to fix this.

As additional information, I am using LiteSpeed Cache.

    Thanks`

  • Hello Alberto,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Can you please let us know which tool you are using to test Page Speed? Also it’d be great if you can activate Site Kit for a while so we can test at our end as Site Kit only adds the meta tag to recognize Site Kit version that doesn’t impact on the page speed.

Hi, in fact I start my message saying that I have taken as a reference PageSpeed (from Google https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/)

I have effectively disabled and removed Site Kit and replaced it with Google Tag Manager which, so far, is working fine.

    Hello Alberto,

Let me clear one thing whether you are inserting the Tag Manager snippet manually or by using Site Kit both would be same until unless you have some customization in the snippet. One more thing Site Kit recognizes already existing snippet at the website so you just need to configure the relevant module from Site Kit to show up stats in the dashboard.

    Best Regards,

    @seobeto ,

I am marking this topic as resolved. In case if you have any questions/concerns please feel free to open a new topic.

It was never actually solved, but if you think you’ve solved it, it’s just your perspective

    Hi @seobeto,

I’d be happy to check this with you. I’ve reopened the support topic now, note that this was marked as resolved due to our policy of closing out support topics when there is no response from end users. No worries regardless, lets see what we can determine.

Firstly can you share what modules you had active when you performed a PageSpeed Insights test? I ask because Site Kit inserts the various product snippets on a users site for the connected services, similar to a manual snippet place. On the front end of your site there are no additional HTTP requests when implemented via Site Kit. Once you share the above we can perform some tests with Site Kit used to insert your product snippets.

If you prefer to not install Site Kit again I can close the support topic if you wish.

@seobeto Checking in here –?are you still experiencing these issues? If so, we’re happy to take another look if you can share the info that @jamesosborne requested. Thank you!

@seobeto As we haven’t received a response, I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist. Thank you!
