Delay / Lag in updating theme files!

  • Hi! I am in London, England working on my WP theme…
    I am pretty sure I am seeing some kind of delay between hitting save to server, and the theme php changes appearing in the browser. It’s not a cache issue.
    My server is DreamHost, based in California.
    I noticed this type of behaviour previously once, in December.

    What could be going on..? I don’t understand how this could be happening… doesn’t seem logical – yet the behaviour is obvious.

    Anything I can do to fix?
    Is anybody else experiencing this right now?

  • Yea Dreamhost has been doing upgrades and a lot of folks are having problems with them right now.

    I’m having this problem right now. Is it def. a server issue and not a wordpress thing? I don’t want to yell at my host unfounded, I only pay them $10/month… I hate feeling like a slave driver.

    I’m on DH, and I’m not having any problems like that at all. Are you sure you dumped your wp-cache? (Scrolling to bottom and dumping the cached files on the wp-cache page? You can’t just disable it, you know. You must dump the cache, too.)
